4-day Luxury itinerary

Day 1 – Blue Istria

Arriving to PULA, an exciting city for history lovers and also the largest city in Istria. Dive into the history of the Roman Empire with a visit to the Arena of Pula, one of the best-preserved amphitheaters in the world. Other famous monuments to see during the sightseeing tour are the Triumphal Arch of the Sergi and the Temple of Augustus.

Top choice for lunch that serves only seafood is Batelina, a family-run tavern 6 km south of Pula.

Visiting Istria, the region with the best extra virgin olive oils in the world, it is a must to taste the golden drops. While leaving the Pula area behind and heading towards your hotel,  make a stop at the Chiavalon to experience the tasting of their liquid gold like a pro.

Day 2 – Blue Istria

Getting back to the mainland, take a stroll through ROVINJ, one of the most picturesque towns on the Mediterranean and within sight of Sant’Eufemia church, dine at Restaurant Monte, the first in Croatia awarded with the Michelin star.

Day 3 – Blue and Green Istria

Treat yourself with a late breakfast on the Meneghetti Estate, or if you prefer, a romantic breakfast in bed followed by check-out. Head towards POREČ to visit Euphrasius’ basilica, the most famous cultural-historical monument of the town which has been included on the UNESCO world heritage list. When taking a walk on the seaside promenade, stop for a drink watching the island St. Nicola.

Your next gourmet experience is set in 18th century building in the typical Istrian village of Brtonigla. The awarded restaurant is part of the Heritage Hotel San Rocco with a wine list of 250 wines from region and the best international bottles.

After your arrival to the San Canzian Village and Hotel later in the afternoon, take a dip into the pool that offers breathtaking panoramic view overlooking the olive gardens and vineyards while sipping cocktails and watching the sunset. Day 4 – Green Istria

Begin the morning with breakfast and get ready for an extraordinary experience – head for a bathe in local beer! Located in Buje,  on the site of San Servolo Craft Brewery & Resort you can enjoy the first beer spa ever built in Croatia. Relax in beer baths in special bathtubs, each with its own tap beer service!

While taking a beer bath, you do not have to worry about getting all drunk and dizzy – this procedure is firstly intended for recovery and restoration of skin and hair beauty. The wonderful aroma of a home brewed beer and the massage effect of natural foam and bubbles help the vitamins and other valuable components to absorb into the skin, creating a pleasurable and cheerful mood at the same time. Yours is to relax, beer will do the rest!

Later, join Pietro&Pietro – Natura Tartufi, Zigante Tartufi or the Karlić family on a private hunt for the region’s most treasured culinary delight. Follow their sharp-nosed hounds into the depths of the Motovun forest in the hope of digging up a truffle or two, then head back to the family estate to incorporate the Istrian delicacy into a variety of tasty lunch dishes.

You can’t visit the countryside without taking a stroll through charming hilltop towns. Explore the narrow cobbled streets  of Motovun and the art galleries before taking a break with a cappuccino to admire the stunning view.
